Along the route of Wine and Oil, in Costa degli Etruschi, a hilly, sea and ancient village area, where the famous wine Sassicaia born, you will can visit the prestigious and exclusive wine cellar in the suggestive location of Bolgheri Castle. The Castle is about 1500 and it belongs to Gherardesca’s family. Actually it belongs to Zileri Dal Verme family. The farm is extended for a size of 130 hectare, here you will have the opportunity of tasting a really prestigious wine selection as come Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah e Petit Verdot, il Castello di Bolgheri DOC Bolgheri Superiore, Varvàra DOC Bolgheri Rosso, accompanied by exquisites local products.
During your visit at the wine cellar, you will keep in touch with some exciting and flavours red wines. We will up the mountain by Land Rover Jeep. Arrived at the marble caves, where the temperature is about 18°, we will walk along on a marble floor that is more beautiful than that of the most known cathedral in the world. We will have the opportunity to live the experience of a marble operator learning how to cut the marble and all the technical instruments used for marble excavation. The extractive activity has been started in II century B.C. , it has been potentialized by Romans whose used this product to build monuments and villas.

When this such incredible experience will be finished, we continue our tour visiting a tipic “Larderia” where all the phases of this alimentary product will be us shown. L'ottava meraviglia del mondo (Grotta Giusti)
We will be wrapped up by thermal steam, abandoned to the complete relax and to the suggestive atmosphere of Grotta Giusti, the biggest thermal cave in Italy. Here we will discover the secret of this cave called by Giuseppe Verdi the “Eightest wonderful of the world”. We will walk down the cave about two-hundreds meters under the ground where temperatures are between 28 and 34 °C.
A wellness walk between stalactites and stalagmites and labyrinths with big areas where to have some relax. Don’t forget do spend some time in front of the lake of thermal water. Fresh air and natural ventilation permit to stay inside the cave in every period of the year.
Sailor Experience
Live your skipper experience for a day. The rustling of the wind that touch lightly the sails, the sea breeze that caress your skin and the smell of sea salt will keep you in touch with sea. We are going to start from Lucca and we will arrive in Livorno, important maritime city for its pier and for its cruise ships in addition to ancient boat “Amerigo Vespucci”.
After having ridden our bikes for some kilometers along the amazing coast and after have been stopped for some minutes along the road to watch at beautiful view, we will leave our bycicles and we will board on “Clan”, a Grand Soleil 45 sail boat. We will sail from the coast and we will lift the sails cruising to coast areas of Calafuria, Castiglioncello and Quercianella. More than sea flavour, we will taste on board Tuscan sea foods and drink some amazing wines in front of a magical summer sunshine.

Gianluca Pardini is one of the four chefs that has been proclaimed Teacher of “Cuisine and Executive Chef” by Federazione Cucina Italiana. He also obtained the certificate as a Onorary Teacher at Chicago College of Du Page and as onorary member of Chicago Chefs Association. When you will back home and you will cook this course, maybe to your friends, they will be amazed from what you have just learnt by your cooking lesson in Lucca. Why renounce to this unique souvenir?
